During September, many of our Kixx superstars made memories that will last a lifetime as they had the opportunity to meet Real Madrid and England hero, Jude Bellingham.
The Real Madrid midfielder kindly took time out during the last International break to be involved with the McDonald’s fun football sessions in Stourbridge; sessions delivered by our amazing Kixx teams.
Jude Bellingham actually hails from Stourbridge and played for Stourbridge Juniors before joining Birmingham City.
He is now one of the most talked about players across the world having signed for Real Madrid, one of, if not, the biggest club in the world.
To say Jude Bellingham’s career has hit the ground running at Madrid is an understatement.
At 20 years old, he is absolutely dominating games in midfield and up until this blog was written, Jude had scored 6 goals in 7 games.
These are numbers you would expect from your main striker, not a box to box midfielder.
Interesting fact if you didn’t already know about Jude….
Birmingham City Football Club retired Jude’s number 22 shirt when he was just 16 years old to celebrate and remember what Jude had achieved in just a short time, and to inspire other young footballers.
When this happened just over 3 years ago, many negative comments were made on social media to Birmingham City Football Club with many questioning if Jude at that time was really that good. Everyone involved at Birmingham City knew better and now so does everyone else.
Tipped to become Englands future captain, Jude Bellingham is also an ambassador for McDonald’s Fun Football programme, the largest grassroots programme across the UK which offers free football sessions to children ages 5 to 11 years old.
Kixx is a national partner of the McDonalds Fun Football programme and it’s why you see many of our Kixx coaching teams delivering the sessions across the country.
Former professional footballer and Kixx Stourbridge Franchisee, Martin Riley, was delivering the McDonald’s sessions during September when Jude Bellingham surprised the children taking part, including many Kixx Stourbridge members.
This was a dream come true for so many children that attended as they got the chance to meet Jude, take photos, ask questions and even have a kick about!
These are moments that will be remembered forever and we are so proud to be able to deliver the McDonalds Fun Football programmes across the country to help create moments like this.
