22nd January 2025

At Kixx, we’re all about passion, values and making a difference in children’s lives through football.
That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce Jak Hickman, the new franchise owner for Kixx Dudley and Halesowen.

Jak’s journey with Kixx began long before stepping into this leadership role.
Having worked as a lead coach at various academies and camps, he knows first-hand how football can positively shape young lives.

Jak’s journey with Kixx began long before stepping into this leadership role. Having worked as a lead coach at various academies and camps, he’s no stranger to the incredible impact football can have on young lives.

A Football Career Rooted in Passion and Dedication

Jak’s professional football career spans eight years, and he currently plays semi-professionally for Halesowen Town.
Some of his career highlights include:

    • Winning the FAI Cup with St. Patrick’s Athletic at the Aviva Stadium in Ireland, in front of 50,000 fans – a moment Jak describes as his proudest achievement.

    • Making his Football League debut for Bolton Wanderers on 18th September 2021.

These experiences have shaped Jak’s ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
His adaptability, knowledge and enthusiasm for the game make him a fantastic addition to the Kixx family.

Why Kixx Academy?

For Jak, Kixx is more than a business — it’s a mission.

“I believe in the core values and what Kixx stands for,” Jak shares.
“I have a passion for helping children reach their potential and a real interest in making a positive contribution to my local community.”

His goal is simple — to make sure every child who joins Kixx Dudley and Halesowen walks away more confident, capable and inspired than when they arrived.

Building for the Future

Jak is focused on creating a lasting impact through his academies.

“Some children will progress quickly, and others may take a little longer — but that’s the beauty of Kixx.
We’re in it for the long run, to develop every child.”

That long-term approach to development reflects everything Kixx stands for — patience, care and progress at each child’s own pace.

Off the Pitch

When he’s not coaching or playing, Jak finds inspiration in his football hero, David Beckham.

“I tried to copy his passing and crossing style growing up,” he recalls.
“His story and ability to be different are inspiring.”

Known to most as Icky, Jak brings a blend of professional experience, humility and ambition to his new role.
We can’t wait to see the impact he’ll make for children, families and the wider community.
