Pro Footballs Academy Launch A Huge Success Hundred Children Get Active on Academy’s Opening Days

29th October 2020

Kixx Bromley, a children’s football academy, successfully launched in Beckenham and Mottingham, attracting around 100 children across two ‘discovery days’ last weekend. Kixx Bromley is actually owned by England Football League stars, Ade Azeez, and JJ Hooper.

Ade Azeez, JJ Hooper and close friend Jude Imo-Itah, were originally due to open the academies during spring of this year but due to the national ‘Covid’ lockdown, all academies were put on hold.

If anything, the prolonged wait only increased excitement even further with the public, with the majority of the sessions being fully booked up for the opening weekend.  The Kixx Bromley team were ‘delighted’ with finally opening to the public and hope to impact hundreds of more children across the community.

26-year-old, JJ Hooper, who played for Wrexham last season and enjoyed a successful spell at Bromley FC, commented about the event:

“Last weekend was just incredible. Myself Ade and Jude were just blown away with the response from the children and parents who attended.

“We started Kixx Bromley because we want to positively impact the lives of children and truly make a difference within our communities.

“To see so many children getting active, smiling, laughing was just the most amazing heart warming experience and it’s actually a weekend I will never forget because it’s the start of our Kixx Bromley journey.”

Childhood friend, teacher and football coach, Jude Imo-Itah added:

“We would like to thank all the parents and children who attended at the weekend. Many of attendees actually booked on at the start of the year before everyone went into lockdown. So we are sincerely humbled by the level of support and patience that has been shown by everyone.”

Kixx is actually a national children’s football academy that started around 8 years ago and was founded by former footballer, Ben Hunter. The business has continued to go from strength to strength, recently attracting other football league starts including Doncaster Rovers legend, James Coppinger and Newport team-mate, Joss Labadie.

Former England Under 19’s international, Ade Azeez concluded:

“It was a truly proud moment for all of us, and now we are given this amazing opportunity to make a huge impact and help make a difference to the lives of many children in Bromley and other communities close by.

“Everything that our Kixx Academies will do as a brand, will all be about making a positive impact on every child, and at every opportunity. This is an awesome mission to have as a business. ”

“As a business and a brand, its family values, passion, care and overall goals match that of our own. The best thing about Kixx is that it’s for all children regardless of ability. We will help build confidence and not only skills for on the pitch, but for off the pitch too.”

The Kixx Bromley Academies are currently for children aged between 2 – 6 years old,  and located at Eric Liddell Sports Centre on a Saturday in Mottingham, followed by Sunday mornings at Goals Beckenham.
