We are marching into Spring in some style at Kixx with fantastic news rolling in from all over the UK, including the signing of a Scottish Premier League player.
So it brings us much delight to announce that Welsh Footballer, Christian Doidge, has become a Kixx Franchisee, and will co-own Kixx Newport alongside childhood friend, Gethin Herbert.
Having played for clubs in Wales and England, which included the likes of Bolton Wanderers; Christian was signed by Scottish Premiership side, Hibernian, in 2019. This year Christian has played out on loan for Kilmarnock.
Gethin Herbert unlike Christian isn’t a professional footballer, but the childhood friends both share a wonderful passion for sport.
At just 4 years of age, Gethin was already swimming competitively and did so until 16 years old where he held South Wales records and competed at the British Nationals.
Gethin is currently a site operations manager alongside swimming coaching. He even helped former IBF World Champion Boxer, Lee Selby, before a world title fight.
What an exciting partnership they have at Kixx Newport!
That’s not all the amazing news as we hop from Scotland, to Wales and back to England with another franchise launch.
Our Kixx Norwich franchisee has become a multiple franchise owner, and will launch Kixx Great Yarmouth in April.
Not only will it see the launch of new Kixx Academies in Great Yarmouth but in Lowestoft too.

Our Kixx Norwich Franchisee wasn’t the only person adding to their Kixx portfolio this year.
After an outstanding first year with Kixx Chester, our franchisee has quickly expanded even further with the acquisition of Kixx Crewe and Kixx Northwich, both launching towards the end of April 2023.
That’s a lot of exciting news for one blog post!
It really has been a fantastic start to the year at Kixx and we are so happy to be able to launch even more academies for children across the country.
