Wigfield Farm
Wigfield Farm is a real-life working farm based at Barnsley College. It is home to an array of adorable farmyard animals including cows, sheep, donkeys, horses, llamas, chickens, rabbits, meerkats and tortoises!
The farm is open to the public and is a beloved day out enjoyed by adults and children alike. You can find it situated approximately 2 miles south-west of Barnsley next to Worsbrough Country Park.
Wigfield Farm is open daily and has a children’s playground and café on site. Plus, the farm hosts a range of exciting events throughout the year, including craft clubs, Spring shows, Halloween trails, Pumpkin picking and Christmas events.

Calypso Cove Water Park
Calypso Cove Waterpark is a spectacular water park located inside Barnsley’s iconic Metrodome. Come rain or shine, children of all ages can enjoy a world of fun, from fast flumes to interactive splash zones at Calypso Cove.
Aside from several amazing waterslides, children of all ages also adore Barnacle Bay, the interactive splash and play zone. Calypso Cove is dedicated to being accessible to all and offers a range of Accessible Swim sessions designed for a stress-free and fun experience.

Soar Trampoline Park
Soar Trampoline Park is the perfect place for children of all ages to let off some steam. Along with an abundance of trampoline space, Soar Trampoline Park also has a traverse wall, reaction wall, airbag, half-pipe and even a gladiator pit!
It offers fun for the whole family, including little soarers who can enjoy dedicated sessions for 2-4 year olds. Soar Trampoline Park is open 5 days per week and costs £11pp for 1 hour or £17pp for 2 hours. Find out more and book your session on the website.
Cannon Hall Farm
Cannon Hall Farm has been one of the leading attractions in Barnsley for decades – and rightfully so! This marvellous farm offers a world of fun things to do for the whole family, including Weekday and Weekend Activity Programmes.
Your little ones can experience the excitement of live animal races, get up close and personal with reptiles in the reptile house, enjoy bumpy tractor rides and have fun in the indoor soft play area. When the weather permits, they can also run wild on the large outdoor adventure playgrounds.
This award-winning farm attraction also boasts various eateries and a farm shop. The whole family can take advantage of the exciting events held year-round, including the magnificent Bonfire & Firework Spectacular and Santa’s Magical Elevator.

Kixx Academy
Kixx is an amazing football academy for children that aims to inspire fun and joy through sports. Kixx has several academies in and around Barnsley offering football sessions for children of all ages, from as young as 18 months old.
Kixx Barnsley regularly teams up with other organisations in the area to offer collaborative and fun exercise classes and events for kids, including dance classes, half-term camps and seasonal events.
Whatever the weather, the dedicated Kixx coaches provide high-energy, creative and age-appropriate sessions for girls and boys across Barnsley. It provides the perfect opportunity for children to build confidence, make new friends, take up a new hobby and have an abundance of fun.
