Joe’s Background in Football and Coaching Joe’s journey in football has been nothing short of remarkable. Spending five years at Sheffield Wednesday, he signed his first professional contract before playing for clubs like Gainsborough Trinity, Matlock Town, and Sheffield FC. As a coach, Joe is a qualified FA Level 2 coach and is currently working toward his UEFA B Licence. Coaching has allowed him to inspire children to step out of their comfort zones, build confidence, and participate with enthusiasm and big smiles.
Joe’s Coaching Philosophy Joe believes that a great coach must be: positive, supportive, and enthusiastic; respectful, with excellent communication skills; and always striving to create the “wow factor” in every session. He is particularly excited to teach confidence because of the transformative impact it can have on a child’s life—helping them overcome challenges and make important decisions.
Joe’s Football Inspiration and Fun Facts Team: A lifelong Liverpool fan, thanks to his family of Reds. Hero: Steven Gerrard, whose hard work and commitment inspire Joe’s coaching style. Fun Fact: Joe can play golf with both hands!
