At Kixx, we’re incredibly proud of the people who help us bring our mission to life. Our mission is to positively impact 100,000 children each week, helping them grow and develop both on and off the pitch. As a nationwide children’s football academy, Kixx combines football skill development with building confidence, character, and teamwork.
This month, we’re delighted to shine a spotlight on Liam King, who leads Kixx Mansfield, Kixx Nottingham, and Kixx Rotherham. Liam has been an integral part of the Kixx network since 2013 and will celebrate an incredible milestone—10 years at Kixx Mansfield—this January.
A Team Effort
Behind every successful franchise is a dedicated team, and Liam’s academies are no exception. Liam attributes his success and the growth of his academies to the incredible people who work alongside him, ensuring every session delivers the best possible experience for children and families.
Reflecting on the role of his Kixx team, Liam shared:
“The most important part has been shaping a team for success and we have done that. My mum, Karen, has been an incredible support behind the scenes, helping to keep everything running smoothly and on the pitch delivering amazing sessions.
“My core team—Ricky (Kixx Mansfield Manager), Alex, Jake, and Karen—are all brilliant with the children and play a huge role in creating the positive environment we’re so proud of.
“It’s a real team effort both on the pitch and behind the scenes, and I’m so grateful for everything they do to make our academies thrive.
“Our core team set the standards for our other fantastic coaches that also do an amazing job. We set such high standards and our team follow them excellently, whether you’re a manager or a volunteer, we value every employee the same.”
This collective dedication shines through in the wonderful feedback we receive from families. Parents consistently share their appreciation for the quality of sessions, how much their children enjoy attending, and the positive experiences they have—helping Kixx Mansfield, Nottingham and Rotherham achieve some of the highest performance metrics across the network.
Beyond the Pitch
Liam’s efforts extend beyond football academies, offering holiday camps, Kixx Education programmes, and nurseries that enrich children’s lives and strengthen their communities. These initiatives exemplify the Kixx ethos of supporting children’s development in every way possible.
The impact of Liam’s leadership goes even further, with his team making a meaningful difference through charitable efforts. Their longstanding support for Ronald McDonald House Charities has raised tens of thousands of pounds to help families in need, showcasing the Kixx value of “proving we care” in action.
